The first part of the exhibition of the Telecommunication Engineering is outlined as the verview of the development of the telegraph technology, from the first practically useable apparatus for the reports transmission Morseoś graving telegeraph /1840/through the invention of the first teleprinter by American Hughes with the printing pressure text to the present teleprinterś technique and telefaxes.

The special part of exhibition is devoted to Jozef Murgaš - the Slovak pioneer in the development of the wireless telegraphy. The development of the telegraphies is rich illustrated with the collectons .From the collection of 45 expositions is exhibited Morseoś graving telegraph from 1882,colour writing telegraph apparatuses with equipment from the turn of the century.Between the exhibits is dominated at that time Hugheś telegraph from the end of the 19th century with phot reproduction of the switching centre with Hughe ’s apparatuses from 1896. There is exhibited teleprinter Lorenz LD 15 with the equipment, recorder trade mark Hell T 12 Siemens, tape teleprinter from Creed and the telegraphic techniquepredominantly from the 40th and 50th years of the 20th century. The communication technique in the last years represents Telefax, trade mark Bondwell B-fax 100.In the exposition Jozef Murgaš is reminded by the model of the construction 60 m high antena and the transmissionś station in Wilkes-Barr and the facsimile of his patents. There are exhibited the models of the patents from Murgaš:wavemeter,r tating spark gap, magnetic detector, electrical transformer, they are predominantly from 1904-1911.Rich collection of the historical very costly telephone sets in number 60 exponats is exhibited in the historical chr nological sequence. In the showcases in the first part of the exposition there are placed the very costly models pr t types, the first Bellś telephone sets and their apparatuses, as induction coil, carbon microphone,at that time drawings and schemes of the first telephones. We are admiring the manifold constructional types of the telephones in the development series and their technical parts, that are coming from the turn of the century. In the collection of the five luxurious telephones attracts the attention especially unique telephone on battery, that is placed in the holder,so-called "ministerial telephone"from 1909,table telephone with inductor from firm Ericson et Co.,Stockholm, from 1892 and also table telephone with inductor mentioned firm Deckert and Homolka,Budapest. In the extensive collection are not lacking homeś,directorś,conferenceś,soldierś,fieldś telephones and the telephones from the industrial divisions. There is exhibited at that time wooden manual exchange 16-switches from the end of the 19th century,as well as dynamical operationś automatical exchange USH 60 V for five stateś and 100 operationś lines. The subject of the second part of the exposition is recording and reproduction of the sound and the picture. There is documented the development from the valve through transistors up to the integrated circuit. From the historical wireless sets have the representation two apparatuses -from 20th years of the 20th century valveś radio trade mark Standard and wireless set trade mark Philips. The exibited collections are represented the development series of the unique musical boxes, phonographs and gramophones. There is catched the development of the beginnings of the mechanical recording of the sound throught the electromagneticś soundś apparatuses up to the magnetic soundś and pictureś recording. There are numerous represented Edisonś phonographs, that were produced and used at the end of the19th century and at the beginning of the 20th century. We are admiring apparatus with trade mark Columbia, that was produced in 1897 in state New Y rk,phonograph trade mark Kinetophone,Excelsior phonograph Edisonś foilś phonographs with the hand drive phonographś dictation maschine with combined pickup and with foot - operated, foilś rolls belonged to these phonographs and also the original text of the recording on the phonographś roll that was enclosed by producer. From the most unique exhibits attract the attention:mechanical table gramophone trade mark Polyphone from the period of 1904-1910.The collection is closed by charming secessionś chimes on the flat disc -records and musical box with needlelike roller from the turn of the 19th and 20th century. There is exhibited the unique apparatus -an antecedent of todays tape recorder -wirephone that was produced by firm Webster in 1935-1945.In the end of the exposition is the contemporaty videotechnic represented by firm BRANDT,NEC and SONY,that are represented the application of the individual systems Beta,VHS,Video 8.Very attractive is the demonstration of the exponats with the soun ’d effects at that time recordings from the glockenspiel through the phonographs and mechanical gramophones up to the contemporary HIFI reproduction of CD-players.
